Birdworld Kuranda is home to almost 60 species, representing some of the most exotic, endangered, colourful and characterful rainforest birds in the world. Coming through the entry you’re immediately surrounded by birds on the deck. Most likely some of the first feathered friends you will encounter in this visit will be our Blue and Gold Macaws, our Alexandrine Parakeets, Indian Ringneck Parakeets or our Eclectus Parrots. You are welcome to feed the birds, before continuing your journey of discovery around Birdworld Kuranda.
The paved pathways take you down and past enclosures, ponds and gentle water features. While most of our birds are free flying, some of our smallest residents – being the fiches – are in an aviary to assist viewing. While our magnificent and endangered Southern Cassowary is in a secure enclosure for your protection. Birdworld Kuranda really is a place where you are surrounded with living colours. There’s no time limit on your visit and you can explore at your own pace.
